As part of an Innosuisse project with ETH and ZHAW, Authena is developing real-time tracking and monitoring systems for individual pharmaceutical units, ensuring their safe and reliable delivery. To achieve this, ETH has invented flexible, eco-friendly batteries designed to power miniature devices for localisation and environmental sensing throughout the entire supply chain.

Physicians examine patient cells under a microscope to aid diagnosis, but preparing slides is challenging with small, scarce samples. To prevent loss, a team from CSEM and ETH Zurich developed a method that maximises sample use. In collaboration with ZHAW, it was refined and tested on cancer microtissues.
